Enrique Hernandez is the Most Fun Player in Baseball, and No One Can Tell Me Otherwise

Chaim Bloom and the Red Sox finally went out and made a move. The interest kings decided it was time to pony up and get their guy. Well, not exactly pony up, but they did sign Enrique "Kikè" Hernandez to a 2-year $14 million deal.

This move makes perfect sense for the Red Sox. Hernandez is one of the most versatile players in the league logging appearances at every position except catcher. Most consider Kikè to be a second baseman who can play centerfield. The Red Sox had a hole at second and will look at Kikè Hernandez to fill that role along with logging innings in the outfield and probably everywhere else on the field.

Not only does this move make sense for the Red Sox position-wise, but it also makes sense personality-wise. Aside from Alex Verdugo and Rafael Devers, the Red Sox are a very dry team in the flair department. Kikè brings much-needed energy to the team. He is a ton of fun.

I truly believe Kikè is the most fun player in Major League Baseball. His interviews are hilarious, he dances in the dugout, always finds the camera, and can grow a killer mustache. Let me open your eyes to some of the beautiful things Kikè has brought to the game.

2020 brought lots of new anticks to baseball. One of these being drone delays... Hernandez was doing a dugout interview as a drone flew over Dodger Stadium. The players were asked to leave the field briefly and Kikè did not disappoint. Have a look for yourself.

Kikè also loves announcements. For example, he and his wife announced they were pregnant this past June. The announcement did not disappoint. Hernandez and his wife switched roles which had Kikè end up with a fake belly and hilarious photos.

This went hand-in-hand with the announcement of the couple's engagement.

He is also incredibly caring. In the final season of Chase Utley's career, Kikè took it upon himself to crown Chase as his father figure. He sported t-shirts with Chase's face on the front, impersonated him on Intentional Talk, and showed him much love and affection.

I will forever love Kikè Hernandez. He brings energy like no one else. The joy and happiness he brings to the field are unmatched. It reminds me of a little leaguer playing in the Little League World Series. He is a great teammate and a fan favorite. He is the most fun player in baseball.
